Over the years, my wife and I have enjoyed getting away from home for long weekends and/or vacations. White water rafting in Utah, mountain biking in Moab, coastal Maine, and Disneyland are just a few of the trips we have taken. Each trip was spectacular, but the one thing we never had to consider, was traveling with a child. Experienced parents know how challenging traveling with children can be. As new parents, WE are about to find out!
One trip that always comes to mind is our family vacation to Disneyland. As our trip wound down and we arrived at Los Angeles International Airport, my wife and I watched from the shuttle as each of my brother-in-laws struggled with 2 car seats, luggage, a diaper bag and souvenirs. Somehow they managed, as all parents do, but what a helpless feeling it was to watch them go through it.
